You see the problem before anyone else
You file the Bill of Entry. You know which client will struggle to fund the duty this week, and you know it days before they say so. When that file stalls, your free days burn, your client blames the delay on clearance, and the consignment sits. We would rather it moved.
What changes for your file
The file stops stalling
A consignment waiting on duty is a consignment waiting on you, as far as your client is concerned. Funding it removes the most common reason a clearance sits.
Free days stop burning
Detention and demurrage are the charges your client argues about hardest. Getting the duty paid inside the free period avoids the conversation entirely.
You stay on the file
We do not clear cargo and we do not want to. You remain the CHA, you keep the relationship, and every communication copies you.
You get paid for the referral
A share of our fee on every consignment we fund, paid transparently and disclosed to your client. No side arrangements.
Three steps
- 01
Send us the BE number
That is the whole referral. We take it from there and keep you copied.
- 02
We deal with your client directly
Documentation, sanction and funding are ours to run. You are not underwriting anything and you carry no liability for repayment.
- 03
Cargo clears, you are paid
Referral fee settled monthly against a statement showing every consignment.
What we ask of you
- Tell your client you are referring them, and that you are paid for it. We will not accept an undisclosed referral.
- Send accurate Bill of Entry details. We verify everything against ICEGATE, so an inaccurate referral only wastes a day.
- Do not present Saarthi Credit as your own service or quote terms on our behalf. Pricing comes from us, in writing, to the client.
- Let us know if a client is in difficulty. You will usually know first, and an early conversation is better for everyone.
What CHAs ask
- Do you compete with me?
- No. We do not hold a customs broker licence and have no intention of applying for one. We do not file, we do not clear, and we do not advise on classification. We fund duty, which is the one part of the file you cannot solve for your client.
- Am I liable if the client does not repay?
- No. The facility is between the lender and the importer. You are a referral partner, not a guarantor, and there is no recourse to you.
- Will you approach my client directly afterwards?
- Only through you. If a client you referred comes back for a second consignment, the referral fee is still yours.
- How is the referral fee calculated?
- As a share of the fee we earn on the consignment, so it scales with cargo value. Exact terms are set out in the partner agreement before you refer anything.
- What if my client's ICEGATE is not active?
- That is Duty Payment rather than Duty Finance, and it is usually the fastest of anything we do. Same referral route.
