Fair Practices Code
Saarthi Credit acts as a Lending Service Provider. Credit facilities are extended by Partner NBFC Limited (TBC), registered with the Reserve Bank of India under registration number N-00.00000 (TBC). This code sets out how we deal with borrowers.
Applications
We tell every applicant what information we need and why. We acknowledge enquiries the same working day where received before 16:00 IST. Where an application is declined, we say so clearly rather than leaving it open.
Communication and disclosure
Before any agreement is signed, the borrower receives a Key Fact Statement setting out the sanctioned amount, tenor, interest rate, all fees and charges, the annualised percentage rate, the repayment schedule, and the consequences of default. Nothing is charged that is not in that statement.
All communication is in English or, on request, in the borrower's preferred language.
Interest and charges
Interest is charged on the drawn balance for the days it is outstanding. The arrangement fee is calculated on assessed cargo value and disclosed upfront. There is no prepayment penalty. We do not levy charges that were not disclosed before the agreement was signed.
Security and release
Where a facility is secured on a consignment, the security is described precisely in the agreement, including container and consignment identifiers. On full repayment, security is released and any registered charge is satisfied without avoidable delay.
Recovery
We do not use threats, intimidation, or contact at unreasonable hours. Recovery contact is made between 08:00 and 19:00. We do not contact a borrower's customers, family or associates about a debt. Any recovery agent acting on our behalf is bound by this code.
Privacy
Borrower information is used only for the purposes described in our privacy policy and is not sold. Data is shared with the lender, credit information companies as required by law, and service providers under confidentiality obligations.
Complaints
Our grievance redressal process, including escalation to the lender and to the Reserve Bank of India, is set out on the grievance redressal page.
